Elements of Art at the Pittsburg High School
Believe it or not, a school has elements of art. Whether it was the building itself or the colors displayed on it, there was a variation willing to be worked with in order to create a thorough photograph. At the Pittsburg High School, the quad is the center of attention when it comes to light. Therefore, the sun forms a shadow over an object which makes an element of shape that can be worked with. However, attempting to work with a shadow can be challenging because the photographer needs to make sure that the object is not covered by it. The lining of the benches and ramps at the school is also able to establish an angle in an image. Although an angle can be created almost anywhere, the lining will make it easier for people, especially for beginners. As well as lining, texture can be found at the quad too. A fountain located near the main entrance has many contrasting colors in the tiles. The water flowing out of it creates a texture that when being focused on it, a striking image. A variation of color on the building, and an arc, will make an astonishing background. Overall, a school can bring a lot to work with in photography. Its just a matter of making it work.
